For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Ready to rock n roll? This car will do it, it's a ground pounder! Professional and complete body off frame restoration! Only 340 miles since completion. Upgrades were made to just about every mechanical component for ultimate performance. A 5 speed manual, air conditioning, custom suspension, and a performance built engine are all much appreciated. This one is awesome!

EXTERIOR: High quality fit and finish! It's obvious this was done with no expense spared. All the panels are laser beam straight. The gaps are square and flush. There's no rust or damage at all. It also has a Cowl Induction hood with the functioning flapper and hood pins. Magnificently painted a beautiful Fathom Green color with metal flake that is all laid out evenly. The clear coat is polished like glass, and it looks like you could reach right into it. The white SS stripes are painted on with the correct dimensions. All the exterior chrome and trim has been replaced including the bumpers, emblems, bezels, stainless moldings, handles and mirrors etc. The windshield is new and crystal clear. All the weather strips and seals have been replaced and it has the correct T3 headlights as well. It's sitting on a new set of vintage style 15" Cragar SS wheels that are skinnies up front and extra wide Hoosier Pro Street in the back. It has a tough stance.

INTERIOR: I am sitting in what looks and feels like a new interior. The bucket seats have upgraded bolsters. They feel great, completely reupholstered including the headrests and the seat backs that are normally plastic. The door panels are a custom two-tone, the upper half is black and matches the dash, rear shelf and headliner. Speaking of the dash, it is all new. The dash pad, the instrument panel, vents, knobs, and even climate controls. It's also equipped with a complete set of factory gauges and it has an AM/FM stereo too. Under the dash is an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. It also has a new deluxe wheel on a tilt column. Down on the floor is sound deadener and new carpet. The center console with the five-speed pattern and a polished T handle on the Hurst shifter are looking sweet. A complete set of GM seat belts front and back if you want to take the entire family for a cruise. Overhead is a new tight fitting headliner, new visors, and mirror. To go with the stereo is a set of 6x9 speakers in the back with new wiring.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Wow this is really impressive and fresh looking! At the heart of it is a 454 engine that's been bored and stroked to a 496. It has aftermarket aluminum heads, a GM LS6 aluminum intake, complete MSD digital ignition system, and a set of coated headers. On top is a functional cowl induction system feeding fresh air to that monster engine. The front of the motor has a billet frontrunner system including a polished A/C compressor and alternator plus billet pulleys. The compressor is down low and the hoses are run behind the fender, out of sight. Also has a billet power steering pump and brackets too. It runs cool with an aluminum radiator and dual electric fans plus the polished overflow bottle. Additionally, it has a chrome power brake system and a new wiper motor. The squirters are hooked up. I love the billet hinges, the way they look and function is a nice upgrade. There is a filler panel in front of the radiator and the engine bay is all painted glossy like the car. Also has a battery disconnect.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy just like the car. Inside is rock solid clean metal with a neat spatter finish paint. It has new wiring, a trunk mat, weatherstrip and trunk latch.

UNDERSIDE: Wow it's very impressive under this car! The body was off the frame and the entire chassis was rebuilt with upgrades. Up front is a Global West suspension that has tubular control arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks, and a fatter sway bar. Out back is a modified 4 link with tubular control arms, and coilover adjustable gas shocks. It's equipped with long tube headers. The custom stainless exhaust is polished and has a X-Pipe plus Borla mufflers and the cowbell tips. Upgraded custom stainless fuel tank with premium lines and fittings. All new Wilwood brake system with drilled and slotted discs at all four wheels and a custom e-brake system. Looking up at the motor it has an anodized extra capacity Milodon oil pan and a high torque starter. The Tremec 5-speed transmission also looks fresh and has a hydraulic clutch too. That sends the power through a newly rebuilt driveshaft that also has a loop. The Ford 9" posi rear end also looks fresh. The floors are solid, smooth, and rust free. The frame was also prepped and painted.

SERVICE: After our thorough inspection we repaired a connection at the starter, replaced the volt gauge, retightened suspension components, and replaced the turnsignal switch.

This Chevelle is a true street beast! It's been thoroughly restored and upgraded with numerous performance parts that really enhance the driving experience. The paint and body work are top notch. This car has everything going for it! Purely exceptional!
