Vehicle Description
This 1971 Chevrolet C10 custom pickup is powered by an LSX 376ci
B15 engine with a Magnuson 2300 supercharger, paired with a TCI6X
6-speed automatic transmission. It was the recipient of a full,
frame-off restoration that was built, custom painted and modified
by Born Vintage in Bakersfield, CA. This award-winning C10 features
a powder-coated factory GM chassis completely boxed with
Porterbuilt front and rear suspension, a custom machined billet
grille, headlight bezels, Chevrolet logo in the grille face, hood
hinges, exhaust tips by EVOD Industries, custom-machined hood
hinges, Ringbrothers door handles, billet gauge bezel and glove
box, and custom tucked and shaved bumpers with plating completed by
Ogden Chrome. Additional custom features include a handmade
raised-up sheet-metal bed floor, wide wheel tubs, engine bay,
firewall, inner fenders, hood structure and radiator cover, and the
rear of bedsides was extended to be level with the rest of the bed
and flush with bumpers. It also features a Boyd aluminum fuel cell
with internal Aeromotive 1000 fuel pump. The exterior features J.W.
Speaker LED headlights and Marquez Design one-piece taillights with
LED sequential lights. It is also equipped with a Wegner automotive
front serpentine drive system, Currie fabricated 9-inch rear end
housing, 35-spline Currie axles and a Strange 9-inch aluminum
center section with a 3.73 rear gear. Stopping power is provided by
Wilwood 14-inch drilled and slotted brakes on the front and rear,
with front 6-piston and rear 4-piston calipers. It rides on
Forgeline DE3C wheels with polished lip and Satin Bronze face with
20x8-inch front wheels with 255/40R20 Michelin Pilot Sport tires
and 20x12.5-inch rear wheels with 345/35R20 Michelin Pilot Sport
tires. The full custom upholstery by Ron Mangus is complemented by
Restomod Air, Dakota Digital gauges, Ididit tilt steering column,
Sparc billet steering wheel, Lokar sport shifter and brake pedal,
and a full sound system with Kicker components. Accolades for this
pickup include gracing the cover of Truck Hub and Classic Truck
magazines. It earned First Place in Gold Class at the Pismo Beach
Classic, was a Top 12 finisher for Top 3 Truck at SEMA 2021 Battle
of the Builders, and was also a Grand National Roadster Show
runner-up, 2022 Goodguys Truck of the Year late finalist, Ultimate
Build winner at Cruizin 4 Charity, Top 30 at C10 SLO Down and
