Vehicle Description
The Winners Circle Project is an innovative STEAM-based educational
program designed to inspire fresh, young, innovative minds through
the exciting world of car racing. Through their work, science,
technology, engineering, arts and math come alive for students,
both on and beyond the racetrack. The mission is to inspire the
next generation of innovators through project-based learning, and
they are reinventing the STEAM engine. This 1965 Factory Five MK4
roadster, built by Waverly High School students using all-new
parts, is a testament to this mission of precision, performance and
innovation. It is powered by a small-block Ford 306ci V8 engine
paired with a Tremec 5-speed transmission, driving power through an
independent rear suspension equipped with a Ford 8.8 center section
and a limited-slip differential with 3.55 gears. This car is fitted
with 4-wheel disc brakes and rides on 15-inch Halibrand wheels
wrapped in Nitto tires, all supported by Koni coilover shocks at
all four corners. With approximately 400rwhp and a weight of only
2,200 pounds, this roadster delivers exceptional performance. The
interior is outfitted with vintage gauges, black bucket seats,
Simpson racing harnesses and black cut-pile carpeting. **TITLED AS
