To their considerable credit, Ford has been aggressive about
maintaining the Mustang's high-performance street cred, even in an
era of increasing emissions and safety regulations. The 2013 Shelby
GT500 model blew the minds of many enthusiasts when it debuted with
an astonishing power increase up to 662 horsepower, along with a
new front splitter to improve the car's high-speed stability,
"launch control," a carbon-fiber driveshaft, no fewer than four
exhaust pipes, and Mustang Track Apps, a new dashboard display that
shows acceleration, braking, and G-force performance stats to the
undoubtedly breathless driver.
This mean-looking black GT500 has had a few carefully selected
upgrades that include a cowl induction hood, blacked-out glass and
a set of 5-spoke Forgestar Performance Wheels wrapped with Nito
NT555 tires staggered 275/35ZR18 front and 305/45R17 rear that
enhance the menacing look of this car. The black interior features
black leather seats, an upgraded shifter, carbon fiber trim on the
dash, console and steering wheel. In the trunk are two 15-inch
Rockford Fosgate P2 subwoofers to enhance the sound system.

Under the hood, the 5.8-litre super-charged SVT engine has been
tweaked with JLT Performance air intake system and JLT in-line oil
catch. Power is shifted through a Tremec 6-speed manual
transmission. This machine sounds as mean as it looks with
long-tube headers exiting through Hollis dual exhaust and deleted
mufflers. These performance upgrades have been specially tuned by
Attitude Street Cars to create an impressive 705 horsepower
according to the dyno sheets that come with the car.
