The first of the second-generation Camaro went on sale in February
of 1970. Because of its late introduction, 1970 model Camaros have
always been rare. Rarer still is a build-sheet documented, highly
desirable, split bumper RS model that is presented here. Finished
attractively in LeMans Blue with black rally stripes and vinyl top,
this classic Camaro has numerous upgrades that add to its
desirability. Under the lightweight fiberglass L88-style cowl hood
is a mighty 454 big block engine topped with an Edelbrock Performer
aluminum intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor attached to a
high-performance Phoenix 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission.
Long-tube exhaust headers with dual exhaust complete the powerful
drivetrain package.
