Gateway Classic Cars Kansas City showroom is proud to digitally
present this beautiful 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad. The Chevrolet
Nomad was a station wagon model made off and on from 1955 to 1972.
The Nomad is best remembered in its two-door Tri-Five form (1955,
1956, and 1957) and was considered a halo model during its
three-year production. GM brass felt that they could sell more
models if they were attached to the popular Bel Air model. In fact,
following the product's debut in 1955, it was not uncommon for the
car to be referred to as the Chevy "Bel Air Nomad". The
forward-slanting B-pillar, corrugated roof, and extra bright trim
were totally out of step with traditional station wagon elements,
but right in line with the jet-age optimism of the Eisenhower Era.
This 1st generation Nomad has been very well cared for and shown
all over the country. The red and white two-toned paint job trimmed
in very bright chrome front to back. Sitting on chrome wheels
wrapped in 225/55R17 radial tires. This beast sounds and runs
great. Powered by the 350 CID V8 mated to a smooth shifting 700R4
automatic transmission. Moving inside the car the red and white
theme continues to the leather seats and carpet. The white
headliner with chrome ribs ties the interior together. This car is
equipped with plenty of creature comforts as well. Including air
conditioning, AM/FM radio, power brakes, power steering and power
windows. Ready for the road, cruise night or the show? This Nomad
is going to turn heads no matter where you are.For additional
