Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this
1964 MG MGB. Until the massive success of the Mazda Miata, the MGB
was the top-selling two-seater sports car in history, with more
than 500,000 built during its 18-year production run of roadsters
and GT coupes from 1962-1980. Powering this truly European sports
car is the 1790cc/1.8Liter inline 4 cylinder engine that is backed
by a sporty 4-speed manual transmission. The paint is fairly new,
and the low-back bucket seats are upholstered in deep black vinyl
with color-coordinated top, carpets, door panels and dash that all
show very nicely. The additional equipment includes a locking glove
box, vent windows, a cabin heater, lap belts, and MG-branded
carpeted floor mats. The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a
tachometer with a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and
gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The
five-digit odometer shows just under 40k miles, although true
mileage is unknown. These classic MGBs are a great way to step into
the collector car hobby if your taste runs toward little sports
cars that are totally fun-to-drive!
