1994 Dodge Viper
1994 Dodge Viper "Hennessey" Venom 500 #13. This is as close to a
street legal racecar as you'll ever get! Only 12086 actual
Miles!
This Viper is equipped with the Hennessey Venom 500 package. To add
some growl, as chief engineer, Robin St. John, developed a 3-inch
diameter stainless steel exhaust system, replacing everything after
the catalytic converters. New Beringer headers have been added. The
factory side pipe coverings remain in place, and look of the Viper
isn't altered. Hennessey claims a 35-horespower increase, and the
exhaust spits out a more defiant attitude.
Air management continues with the installation of Hennessey's
Hi-Flow air-induction kit, enlarged throttle bodies, Hi-Flow intake
manifold (enlarged ports; port-matched to cylinder heads), ported
and polished cylinder heads (raised compression ratio from 9:1 to
10:1), and 1.7:1 stainless steel roller rocker arms (replacing the
stock 1.6:1 stamped steel rockers). Add a set of hardened steel
pushrods and adjustable guide plates, plus a set of platinum-tip
spark plugs, and 8-millimeter silicone plug wires (2 millimeters
larger for lower energy loss), and you have the bundle of goodies
constituting Hennessey's Venom 500 engine package plus new
transmission and motor mounts. Beautiful Red with grey leather
interior. The black stripes by Benchmark really make this Viper
standout! A 6-speed manual with polished aluminum 17" wheels with
NEW tires. A bonus included two NGW Hooser street slicks with only
50 miles. Over $20,000.00 invested in upgrades. Certified CompCam
components. At the time of purchase in 2019 the engine was
dismantled and inspected to insure the upgrades had in fact been
done. Hennessey upgrade engine has in fact had upgraded to metal
chromatic gaskets.
Word of advice the Viper V10's was built with paper gaskets. All
Generation 1 Vipers were manufactured with paper head gaskets. They
are known to leak before 25,000 miles. If you buy a Gen 1 Viper,
plan to replace the head and other gaskets sooner then later...cost
about $5,000.00 or more in parts and labor.
Viper custom hard top, a soft top, and side windows with bag. Plus,
a custom car cover is included. All fluids have been changed, new
plugs and wires. New Roe Racing radiator and cold air intake. Air
conditioning, new clutch, new rear engine seals and motor
ransmission mounts, new silicone hoses. The Venom has been
professionally detailed. This very rare Viper Venom "Authenticated
Hennessey 500" #13 is an outstanding investment and collectability.
