Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this clean 1996
Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition. Under the long clamshell hood
is a 5.7l 300hp V8 connected to a 4-speed automatic 700R4 overdrive
transmission. Power is plentiful and comes on quick, due to the
torquey nature of the LT1. The Corvette was originally equipped
with adaptive ride control, but it has been replaced with Bilstein
shocks on all 4 corners, and lowered front and rear. All this makes
the Corvette handle like it is on rails! A few other modifications
have been done, including an exhaust system to open up the
breathing of this potent V8 and give a bit of rumble out the tail
pipes. In addition, an aftermarket sound system was added as well.
The '90s were certainly not a high-point for musical fidelity, and
the upgrades make a world of difference. This Corvette has plenty
of power, great sounds, and comfort to match!
