Vehicle Description
This 1998 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 has impressively low miles,
and that's because this is the one collectors love. It was the year
that many great pieces all came together, and finding one optioned
with a six-speed, T-tops, LS1 fuel-injected V8, and WS6 sports
suspension is considered the ultimate example.
If cars were movies this would be an epic western. It was the
beginning of the Firebird's last stand where the design debuted its
final evolution, and there was an impressively powerful heart to
give it a backbone. So we can understand why this one would be so
well preserved and respected over its two-owner lifetime thus far.
There is an impressively low amount of miles on the odometer, and
in fact, we'd put on more if we just left our showroom to drive to
Miami and back once a year! So the Bright Red paint not only shows
all the right signs of being the factory application, but it still
gives you a level of shine that can turn your garage into the last
Pontiac showroom. All the details look great, including the
headlights resting flush, the well-integrated rear spoiler looking
complete, and the 16-inch alloys shining brightly. It's the kind of
car that others can use as a benchmark in their restorations. And
don't forget, this has passed the 25-year mark. It's a true classic
that's now eligible for classic car registration and license plates
in many states.
There's a little bit of irony with the interior because it looks so
fantastic that you'll be it was never left out with the T-tops
long... and so now you're going to love taking the T-tops out so
you can share this preserved style with the world. Another reason
why you'll showcase the interior is that we rarely see the Natural
leather setup. The tan adds a nice sophistication to the car with
its clean look and supple feel. This is fully loaded with power
windows, power locks, dual airbags, cruise control, tilt steering,
a power driver's seats, and the premium Monsoon AM/FM/CD stereo
with a seven-band equalizer. And because the air conditioner is
blowing ice-cold, you can take the T-tops out any time of year and
still stay cool. You get a grippy sports steering wheel with all of
your radio controls well integrated. Beyond that, the full gauge
package glows red to get your enthusiast's heart pumping.
1998 is a true benchmark year because it debuted the LS1. This
5.7-liter fuel-injected V8 is so essential that it's a true
showpiece to have it looking this stock, clean, and respected. And
don't forget, the larger nostrils of the optional WS6 Ram Air
package helped give this the highest power rating in Pontiac with
320 hp and 345 lb-ft of torque. And if you're going to have the
best T/A on the streets, it's also terrific to have the enhanced
handling of the WS6 package as well as the rarely-seen six-speed
manual transmission. But since this coupe looks like it has never
really turned a wheel in anger, you'll also appreciate the
confident cruiser feeling of power steering and four-wheel disc
brakes with ABS.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and maintenance
records. This is the ultimate evolution of the final Trans Am, and
so if you're looking for a true collector-grade collector car, this
is it. Call today!!!
