Finished in elegant Evening Black with 17 inch chrome cast aluminum wheels and Black Ink leather interior, this 2004 Ford Thunderbird is a real looker. Plus, this is a true hardtop convertible. As photographed it is shown with the optional removable hardtop with porthole windows. Beneath the decklid is a black power soft top. The hardtop comes with a stand for storage and there is a tonneau cover for the soft top when it is lowered.
This ‘Bird is powered by a 3.9 liter 32 valve V8 engine which produces 280 horsepower and 286 ft. lbs. of torque. It produces more horsepower and is more satisfying to drive than the initial version of this model, which was introduced in 2002. The engine is connected to a 5 speed automatic transmission and an 8 inch rear axle with 3.58 gears. The car will accelerate from 0-60 mph in a brisk 6.5 seconds.
The vehicle, as you would expect, is well equipped.
