Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1986
Ford Mustang SVO! The oil crisis of the 70s ended the muscle cars
wars that ran so strong through the late 60s to early 70s. In the
early 80s Ford wanted to start ramping the Mustang back up and in
late 1981 The Special Vehicle Operations Department or simply SVO
was instated to oversee their racing division and limited
production high performance cars. While there were many upgrades
including the suspension and braking system, the SVO Mustang is
mainly known for its Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that put V8s of
its era to shame! The SVO Mustang would only see production from
1984-1986 making it sought after by collectors everywhere. Here we
have an '86 model, last year for the SVO. As you approach this
pony, you'll see the black paint isn't perfect. This car has had a
lot of smiles per mile, but the paint still looks good. The gray
leather interior is in good order. Under the hood is what the SVO
is known for, the 2.3L Turbocharged Inline 4-cylinder engine is
backed by a 4-speed manual transmission that makes this car a fun
and spirited drive! Current owner has had her for over 10 years,
acquired from a private owner. The car is actually titled as a 1986
Ford Mustang SVO. The title is clean and clear and ready to be
transferred into your name now! These cars don't come up often so
don't miss your chance to have this cool car that cemented its
place in history and broke a lot of V8 owner's hearts back in the
day! Options on this Mustang include: A/C, Power Steering, Power
Brakes, Power Windows/Locks, Leather Interior, Tilt Wheel,
AM/FM/CD, Seat Belts, and Radial Tires. This 1986 Ford Mustang SVO
is offered by our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater
