Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to present this
classy 1964 Chevrolet Impala. The Almond Fawn paint isn't a color
one sees frequently, and it looks great from any angle. Under the
hood lurks a potent 327 CID Chevy V8, which is topped by a
Rochester QuadraJet 4BBL carb. The engine was completely freshened
up in 4/2022: Restoration Techniques of Waller, TX removed,
disassembled, inspected, cleaned, reassembled, balanced, painted,
and then reinstalled the engine; so, it's fresh and ready to rock!
A set of "ram's horn" exhaust manifolds feeds into a dual exhaust
setup, and behind the 327, a 4-speed manual transmission sends
power out back to the 3.36:1 gears in the PosiTrac-equipped rear
end. Fire this puppy up and listen to the throaty burble that
emanates from the dual exhaust while you get settled into the
cockpit, which just screams nostalgia. The gearshift falls nicely
to hand, and the new Vintage Air A/C system keeps occupants
comfortable year-round, and the Sony AM/FM/XM head unit (tucked
nicely in the glove box) provides lots of choices for your audio
pleasure. Its black vinyl-trimmed cloth seating and carpet are in
good condition and provide a nice contrast to the exterior. This
'64 Impala rides on radial tires, which provide better handling
than the original bias ply tires ever could. Additional features
and options on this 1964 Chevrolet Impala include Air Conditioning
(cold), AM/FM/XM Radio, Battery Disconnect Switch, Positrac rear
end, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior.
