Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is very pleased to offer this
beautiful 1969 Pontiac GTO, aka the "Goat". This 2nd generation GTO
is a great example of a very nice restomod done well. Being a true
242 car, this GTO is the real deal and after the GTO was named
Motor Trends car of the year in 1968, this was a highly
sought-after year. By 1968 the car was beginning to become dated,
so a new model with a fastback design was released, and the public
went car crazy. 1969 would bring what many believe to be the most
desirable GTO to come out of the Motor City. This GTO went through
a full restoration that was completed in 2009. The car was
professionally painted in the original code 52 factory red and
shows extremely well. Our pictures do not do this car justice & it
looks even more stunning in the sunshine! The car has a high level
of attention to detail and the fit & finish on the car is top
notch. Every inch of the exterior is in like new condition from the
bumpers to the window trim to the emblems. Powering this beauty
down the road is a 400 CID V/8 with the 4-barrel Holley carburetor
& polished valve covers, this car has all the options you could ask
for. Paired to the powerhouse under the hood is a 700R4 4-speed
automatic transmission that has been upgraded from stock. That
700R4 leads in to 10 bolt Posi-trac rear end that spins 3.55 gears.
All drive train components have less than 4000 miles on them since
they were rebuilt and put back into the car by Westside Machine in
Houston, TX. Bringing all that power to a stop are 4-wheel Wilwood
performance disc brakes that have the Hydroboost feature, which
uses the power steering pressure output for braking pressure
instead of vacuum operation brake boosters. This provides
substantially more braking power. The GTO has been lowered 2 inches
to give it more of an aggressive stance that really sets the car
off when it is sitting on its custom ordered Boze 22-inch staggered
wheels that wrapped in new Hankook tires. Looking into the interior
you will see the color matched red interior that looks beautiful.
From the dash to the door panels to the headliner, you will not be
disappointed. The red vinyl seats are in like new condition, the
carpet is also. The center console has a custom shifter boot that
covers what some think are bulky & odd shaped B&M shifter. The
car features a full Kenwood powered sound system with amplifiers &
iPhone connectivity. The engine bay & trunk are in great condition.
The car is registered with the Pontiac Historical Services & comes
with all the documentation for the new buyer. This Goat is a real
beauty and really has a sweet look to it. The only thing that would
make this 1969 GTO look any better is it siting in your driveway!
