I purchased this beautiful Hy-boy deuce coupe, built in 2014,VIN #182094 and titled as a 1932 Ford, from an unfortunate Vietnam veteran who is suffering from nerve damage from Agent Orange exposure. He was unable to drive the car any longer. I bought the car in 2018.
The fiberglass street rod is on a boxed frame with Pete & Jakes suspension 4 inch drop I beam axle.. Powered by a 1967 Dodge 318 LA, widely regarded as a very dependable engine, that was rebuilt in 2014, bored 0.040. I was told it has a mildly modified cam. No specifics on the cam. American Racing aluminum wheels. 15 inch in the rear, 14 inch up front. Disc brakes up front, drums in the back. Vega steering with tilt and a leather rimmed LeCarra steering wheel. Multi function Sony radio / CD player (model MEX- N5100BT) with 4 Kicker speakers. Electronic exhaust cut outs. The car does have a steel hood and an extra balanced driveshaft. I ordered the driveshaft from a company that works with Silver Sport Transmission. It needs to be shortened. It is a $400 value i am including with the car. The driveshaft that is on the car works perfectly. No vibration. My mechanic took the car up to 90 MPH. He said it handled well, no problems, while he was checking my car after he installed the new rear axle housing.
Since my purchase, I have made the following changes or additions:
New headlights - Grote LED, new headlight buckets - polished stainless steel, new aluminum 3 core radiator, changed pusher radiator fan to a puller, new water pump, new polished aluminum pulleys, new alternator, new Fluidampr vibration dampener, new oil pump, new chrome oil pan, valve covers and hairpins, new Edelbrock AVS2 650 CFM 4 barrel carburetor, new rear main seal, new Silver Sport A-41
4 speed transmission ( gear ratios 3.06, 1.63, 1.00 and 0.70 ), new MSD electronic ignition, spark plug wires, spark plugs, Lokar shifter, switched Dolphin gauges to USA New Vintage 1940 style gauges with new copper wiring, new Hushmat Silencer Megabond 1/2 inch thermal / noise barrier on the floor and up as far as I could on the firewall, new Hushmat covering the inside of the doors, behind the bucket seats and on the trunk floor, new thick low pile black carpet throughout and behind the bucket seats, new door window runs, new door windows ( Smokey gray, made in California) and new electric window mechanisms, new weather stripping, new rear gears (3.73 limited slip - no additive required), new 31 spline axles, new axle housing (Ford 9 inch), new tires x 4, new suspension bushings . Placed door and trunk handles as the original poppers failed me twice at very inappropriate times!
The coupe has less than 1000 miles since built. Proper maintenance procedures performed in the proper time frames. I JUST replaced the radiator hoses and thermostat when I flushed the cooling system in December 2022. The car doesn’t have any fluid leaks. It has slept in my garage since purchased.
Asking price is $41,500 or reasonable offer. I am using KeySavvy as the escrow company to guarantee clear title to the purchaser and payment to me. (I paid the fee).
