Picture of Restoration
Mechanical
Pop the hood and you will see the big block Pontiac 400 cubic inch
engine sitting underneath the Pontiac Trans Am Shaker hood scoop
and in a very clean detailed, restored, and painted engine
compartment.
It looks as it did when it was new as the engine block, intake, and
heads are painted in the correct Pontic blue paint and it has
Variable Ratio power steering, Power brakes, blue Factory valve
covers, Four-barrel carburetor, an automatic transmission, air
conditioning, and factory cast iron exhaust manifolds flowing into
the dual exhaust system.
It rides on factory 15" X 8" Pontiac Snowflake wheels and Grand Am
Radial GT raised white letter tires and like all Trans Ams, they
were known for their handling and this one has that correct Pontiac
look and stance.
Interior
The restored interior features the always expected plush Pontiac
full black high-backed front buckets seats with the matching rears,
both well bolstered, center console, black three-spoke Pontiac TA
formula sport steering wheel, air conditioning, the cool machined
aluminum dash with all the factory Rally gauges with clock and
tach, AM/FM stereo system, and black carpeting.
It is a literal time-capsule of a Trans Am, both inside and
out.
Exterior
The Dark Blue paint job is great and is accented by the light blue
Trans Am Screaming Chicken and shaker on the hood with the 400
call-outs on the Shaker Hood scoop, front and rear factory
spoilers, great sounding dual exhaust, factory suspension, factory
sway bars, side fender flairs, side extractor scoops, Trans Am
decal package, the iconic front grill, and a very clean
chassis.
This TA package is one that it will remain appealing for many more
years to come and has always retained a continual rising collector
car value.
