Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is proud to present this 1950 Ford
Coupe. The first "Custom" rolled off the Ford assembly line in 1949
as a top trim level model. By 1950 the car was referred to as the
Custom Deluxe. With the war over, consumers had money to spend and
were looking for new and updated cars. A new era had begun with
Ford grabbing it by the horns, manufacturing a smaller, stylish
model that was more functional than its predecessor. Between
1949-1951 Ford produced over one million Custom two-doors.This 1950
Ford Coupe is painted in bright red accented with the addition of
wide whitewall tires, cool hubcaps, chrome side pipes, fender
skirts, and dual spotlights. Push the door popper button and you
are welcomed to a custom interior that is beautifully done in
two-tone red and white. Once you are sitting in the driver's seat
you notice the modern gauges, plush carpeting, and updated heater
controls. Hidden in the glovebox is a Pioneer AM/FM/ cd radio just
waiting for you to play a few 1950s rock and roll songs. Under the
hood of this beauty is a flathead V-8 attached to an automatic
transmission. Nice chrome detailing under the hood makes this 1950
Ford Coupe a true show piece.
