Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is proud to present this 1961
Chevrolet Apache pickup. The Apache was a light-duty pickup that
was manufactured by General Motors from 1958-1961. By 1960 General
Motors was succeeding in expanding its traditional truck market
with pickups that were not only pieces of art but were being built
with a lower stance and a smoother more comfortable ride. The wide
cab design and increased windshield visibility were an
instantaneous hit with potential buyers. The Chevy pickups of the
early sixties have become very desirable in the classic truck
market. Especially the Apache with its distinctive "eyebrow" front
end. This 1961 Chevrolet Apache pickup is painted in royal blue. A
set of beefy Cragar alloy wheels, spray-in bedliner, dual chrome
mirrors, and a sliding rear window are great added features. The
gray interior consists of custom vinyl bucket seating w/ a center
console and cup holders. Full carpeting, updated gauge package,
wood steering wheel and a Pioneer AM/FM/cd radio make for a very
inviting interior. Under the hood is 305 V-8 attached to a Tremec
five-speed manual transmission. Power steering and power brakes are
great additions.
