Right behind the Model T, and VW Beetle, the Fiat 500 was a car that put the common man on wheels. The car first arrived on the scene in 1957 and was a hit. The original only had two seats and no creature comforts. It only had 13hp from a two-cylinder sub-500cc engine and could barely do 50mph. This 69 Fiat 500 is an "L" model which was unveiled in the fall of 1968. The "L" stood for "Lusso", or luxury, which made it the top-of-the-line 500. This Red little 500 'Lusso' wears fresh red paint and was whimsically adorned with classic Italian automotive call outs like an asymmetrical racing stripe, Ferrari prancing horse badges and modern mesh wheels. This red little "cinquecento" has been hiding in a collection and is itching to get back on the road. It runs and drives well, with only minor "old car life" issues; like needing a back up light bulb, and a tune up. Come scoop this Italian legend up.
