For Sale: 1964 Chevrolet Nova in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Only 3,242 miles on a ground up build. This little Nova is a ground pounder. Can you believe there is a big block 454 under the hood! A custom full chassis will make sure it can handle all that power. You won't be sneaking home late with the 3 inch exhaust. When it's not terrorizing the streets and it is just parked, it's a show car.

EXTERIOR: The body's outstanding, it was professionally redone. It is straight, there's no rust or damage. The panels fit really well, it has a fiberglass cowl hood. The red paint is polished smooth like glass although it does have cracking. All new smoked glass. Every piece of chrome or trim has either been replaced or restored. Weatherstrips and seals were all replaced. It has a great stance. 15 inch polished wheels with Mickey Thompson tires, Street slicks back. We also have the center caps.

INTERIOR: I'm sitting in this Nova and I like what I see. The metal is painted smooth gloss red like the outside. It has genuine carbon fiber pieces used on the dash and console. In front of me is a set of Auto Meter gauges with carbon fiber background and a tilt column with a cushioned grip steering wheel. Custom center console has a modern Kenwood stereo, cup holders a B&M ratchet shifter and a chrome e-brake handle. Down on the floor is sound deadener, premium tight loop Daytona carpet, reproduction mats and a billet gas pedal assembly. The seats are reupholstered, door panels are replaced. The headliner is new, the dome light works. It has kick panel and rear deck speakers.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Wow, I was not expecting to see a 454 big block under the hood of a little Nova. It had a performance rebuild by Borowski Race Enterprise; full spec sheet is included. The 454 was bored to a 468. It was Dyno tuned, balanced and blueprinted. Complete specs will be included. It has the big port heads, Keith Black pistons, Comp cam and a roller timing set. On top is an Edelbrock intake with a giant dual feed polished 830 Holley carb with electric choke. It also has premium fittings and braided lines with a fuel regulator. It also has coated headers and an MSD ignition system very cool carbon fiber ever valve covers. Keeping it cool is an aluminum water pump, braided stainless heater hoses and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Chrome alternator and master cylinder. The engine bay has been reconstructed, made smooth and painted gloss red. Stainless hardware was used throughout. It also has tubular supports to help prevent body twist.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has been completely boxed and carpeted. The battery is hidden behind one of the panels and has a battery tender pig tail. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are glossy, weatherstrip was replaced.

UNDERSIDE: Custom full chassis. Upfront is a Heidts subframe with coil over shocks, rack & pinion steering. Frame connectors tie the front to the back. In back it has a custom frame with built in driveshaft loop. It also has a 4 link setup with a panhard bar, coilover gas adjustable shocks and a custom sway bar. Many of the components were powder coated. 3 inch custom exhaust with crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. Custom fuel system with premium lines and fittings. Disc brakes at all 4 wheels. Looking up at the motor it has an extra capacity oil pan. DRC performance built Turbo 400 transmission with a 3100 stall, deep aluminum pan and a remote oil cooler. New Ford 9 inch rear with Strange axles and Auburn posi. The floors were acid etched and then sealed with Por 15.

This is a little stick of red dynamite! A 454 in a 64 Nova is the definition of overkill. The rest of the car was built to handle it though. Let the good times roll!

What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum.
