One of the rarest Corvettes built in 1969! Out of 38,762 Corvette's
made only 252 had a 3-speed! That's less than 1%. We have a letter
directly from GM verifying this. The car is documented with
original Protect-o-plate, original sales literature and owner's
manual are included too. 1 person owned the car most of its life,
he actually owned it twice! #s matching throughout.
EXTERIOR: The body appears to be in fantastic condition. I'm
impressed with the way the all the panels lineup. I don't see any
signs of damage. Repainted its original Riverside gold. The metal
flake is laid out very nicely and has a very smooth glossy clear
coat. It does he have some minor imperfections that you would have
to look for. Up front the chrome is bright and the bumpers lineup
real nice, it has the weather shields in the grill to protect the
headlights. In back the luggage rack looks like new, the bumpers
are good, license plate frame looks new. It has very desirable side
exhaust system. 15x8 rally wheels have excellent trim. Good Year
tires look like new. Black convertible top is in excellent
condition. The door jambs are painted really nice. Weather strips
are excellent, sill plates look like new.
INTERIOR: The seats and headrests have been reupholstered. The door
panels look new. Carpet has been replaced front to back. The
interior lights work. The dash pad is in excellent condition.
Gauges are in real nice shape; clock is converted to quartz
movement. It has the factory AM-FM stereo. The center console is in
good original shape. Very rare 3-speed shift pattern and original
chrome ball shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is detailed to show
quality. It looks factory correct. Numbers matching 350-300 hp
engine with the stock manifolds, valve covers, carburetor, air
cleaner etc. It even has a complete ignition shielding. The
alternator looks new, it has correct fuel filter. The cooling
system looks proper- clutch fan, radiator, shroud, and expansion
tank. It has a new power steering conversion system.
UNDERSIDE: It was given a body off frame restoration at a Corvette
shop about 20 years ago. It has a very clean underside. Independent
suspension front and back. The front end looks like it has been
entirely rebuilt- the bushings, steering components, ball joints
have been replaced. Disc brakes it all 4 corners, e-brake assembly
is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it's clean, I see the lower
ignition shielding. It has the original Muncie 3-speed manual
transmission. Drive shaft and u-joints look clean. Original rear
end with 3.36 gears. The fiberglass floors don't appear to be
damaged. Spare tire carrier is complete. Solid frame painted satin
black.
This is a very nice Vette roadster. Investment quality and you can
enjoy it! The rarity makes it very appealing to a collector. It
makes it unique from all the others. I think it's cool!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
