Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 2004 Avanti Convertible. In 2002, Avanti Motors acquired copyrights to Avanti and began building a very limited supply. This 2004 Avanti Convertible is one of 53 Avanti's that were produced from 2001 through 2004. They were produced in Villa Rica, Georgia on a Pontiac Trans Am Chassis as either a Coupe Convertible or T Top & this example is titled in TX as a 2002 Pontiac. They were available with a normally aspirated or supercharged engine. This example is fitted with a 5.7-liter V8 fuel injected LS1 engine mated up to an automatic transmission. The cabin features power-adjustable front bucket seats upholstered in taupe leather with Avanti embroidery that extends to the door panel inserts. Black carpets are protected by Avanti-branded floor mats, and woodgrain trim adorns the dash, center console, and doors. The car is equipped with a Monsoon AM/FM/CD stereo with a seven-band equalizer, and additional equipment includes traction control, cruise control, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames white-dial instrumentation including a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges that include water temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage and fuel level.
