Vehicle Description
Right here is one heavy-duty truck. In the showroom now is this
durable 1983 Chevrolet Blazer, ready to go at a moment's notice. As
Chevrolet's smallest full-size SUV, the Blazer was based on
Chevrolet's C/K half-ton truck. Because it was based on the GM C/K
platform, the Blazer was an immensely capable off-roader using a
gear-driven part-time, dual-range 4x4 transfer case. This
particular Blazer is powered by a 5.7L, 350 C.I. V8 paired to a
Holley "Sniper" EFI system. Through a column-shifted 3-speed
automatic transmission, power gets to the front wheels through a GM
10-bolt front axle (with working transfer case) and to the rear
wheels through another GM 10-bolt rear axle. The drive wheels are
selected through a shifted gear selector on the floor, allowing
both 2WD high/low gears and 4WD high/low gears. This one's exterior
is beautiful, with shimmering black paint and a matching black
topper. Astute observers will also notice that the color-matched
side mirrors are also off of a 1990-1991 model Blazer, as they are
power operated! The interior is very nice, with dual cloth bucket
seats up front, a center console, and a cloth bench seat in the
rear. Options on this Blazer include power steering, power brakes,
an updated JVC AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo system, factory gauges, power
windows, locks and mirrors, a new fuel tank, newer Rough Country
shock absorbers for some more fun off-road, newer HEDMAN headers,
and a nice-sounding dual exhaust system. The truck rides on some
factory Chevrolet 15" steel wheels with "4x4" center caps on top of
Hankook "Dynapro ATM" RWL tires for a capable off-roader look. This
'83 Blazer means business, and it has the specs to back it up. All
it needs now is a driver to take it out for a spin, and we think
you'd look pretty good sitting behind the wheel.
