Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte is proud to digitally present
this 1972 Chevrolet Camaro. The Chevy Camaro is one of the most
notable in pony car and muscle car history. As a direct competitor
to the Ford Mustang, the Camaro has persevered throughout the
years, earning the respect of automotive enthusiasts. With a
successful first-generation run, Chevrolet looked to improve on the
Camaro in its second generation. This Camaro came with a familiar
mechanical layout and a similar unibody structure, featuring a coil
spring front suspension, rear leaf springs, A-arm, and front
subframe. Though the second-generation Camaro was similar to the
first, Chevy made several refinements. In terms of body style, the
Camaro arrived without any rear-side quarter windows but came with
ventless full-door glass and a fastback roofline. Chevrolet
replaced their older roof with a new one offering better noise
reduction and rollover protection. Additionally, the 1970 Camaro
had wider doors, making reaching the rear passenger seats easier.
Chevy outfitted the car with a horizontal crease on the side and
round taillights. This car is way more than just worth a look. It
runs and drives super solid and tight. Big chrome Cragar wheels
give it the look and stance that immediately transports you back to
the '70s hot rod era. Silky smooth orange paint and Z/28 stripes
fit this body style like no other. Just beneath that long cowl hood
lies a strong Chevy small block V8 with 400 cubic inches of
displacement. Surrounding that 400 cubic inches are all the bells
and whistles like the Edelbrock Intake manifold, Holley carburetor,
ceramic-coated headers, billet pulleys, and much more! The rebuilt
four-speed manual transmission shifts impressively precise. Air
conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and a retro audio sound
system are goodies that will help you enjoy driving this machine.
With way north of $50,000 of receipts, you are still only getting a
fraction of the money and labor that went into this beautiful car.
Now that we have your attention contact us to discuss getting this
Camaro in your garage.
