This 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake is finished in
Grabber Orange with a bold Black racing stripe. The interior
matches the exterior's bold appearance, with Super Snake badges
everywhere. With supercharged 5.4L V-8 power and a bold, bawdy
presence worthy of a top-ranked heavyweight boxer, Shelby's GT500
returned in 2007 as a more than worthy successor to the legendary
Shelby Mustangs of the 1960s. Built to succeed the SVT Cobra and
celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Carroll Shelby's original GT500,
the 500 HP 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 took place as the most powerful
production Mustang ever created until the ludicrous Shelby 1000 in
2013. Looking, sounding, performing and handling as a Shelby
should, the "basic" GT500 featured a 4.0L V-8 based on a cast-iron
cylinder block with four-valve heads and a Roots-type Eaton
blower. As expected, performance of the new GT500 was, and remains,
electrifying with sprints from 0 to 60 MPH in the 4-second range.
Despite the electronically limited top speed of 155 MPH, the rated
power output, transmission ratios and rear-end gearing suggested
speeds on the order of some 175 MPH theoretically possible. The
40th Anniversary and Super Snake packages made a great car even
better, including a host of special appearance upgrades and
amenities, plus a consecutively numbered dash plaque.Featuring the
Super Snake's wild optional Kenne Bell-supercharged 5.4L/750 HP V-8
engine and 6-speed manual transmission, this top-of-the-line Shelby
is offered with just 8,900 miles. Of particular significance, it is
an original Las Vegas Shelby factory-built Super Snake. Rare as any
Mustang can get, this fabulous example includes a factory carbon
fiber front spoiler and side skirts, the Shaker 1000 stereo system,
Shelby aluminum door sill plates and red-painted brake calipers. A
Shelby/Ford Racing adjustable suspension system delivers the power
and handling in concert with a set of 20-inch Shelby/Alcoa polished
wheels. This 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake 40th Anniversary
Edition is much more than a one trick pony. This Super Snake has
been lovingly cared for and has been in a private collection for
quite some time. It has had a ceramic coating done which cost in
the upwards of $1,500 along with a clear car bra on the front
portion of the car. Along with these cosmetic upgrades, this car
has only been run on the same oil since it left the factory. The
owner specifically only uses Motorcraft 5w20 synthetic oil to keep
it running in tip top shape. This rare snake is ready for a new
owner, put the top down and listen to that supercharger whine!
