Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is pleased to present this
classic 1966 Ford Mustang. Here it is - the car that started an
entire movement in the automotive industry! When Ford brought the
epic Mustang to life, they single handedly started the Pony Car
movement. This 1966 Ford Mustang for has the looks (and feel) that
you want from a classic car. According to the data plate, this
clean '66 coupe was born March 4, 1966, and rolled off the line
bathed in Wimbledon White paint, fitted with an Aqua with Aqua trim
interior, a 200 CID I-6 engine, 3.20:1 rear axle ratio, and 3-speed
manual transmission. While we don't have much history on the car,
it appears to have been a Texas car most (or all) of its life,
having been delivered through the Dallas DSO in 1966. It's very
clean throughout: the paint is in very good shape, the weather
stripping and rubber seals look practically new, the engine bay is
very tidy around the 200 CID I-6, and the undercarriage is solid.
Inside, the Aqua interior is about as clean as they come, with the
vinyl seating and carpet being in very good shape, showing very few
signs of wear. This '66 Pony has a few extras that add value and
improve its drivability: an export brace has been installed to
stiffen things up front, and 4-wheel Power Disc Brakes have been
installed, helping dramatically improve this car's stopping
ability. A vintage styled AM/FM/Aux head unit has been installed to
give occupants more flexibility in their music choices, as well.
Additional features include Power Steering, P205/70R14 BF Goodrich
Radial T/A tires on Magnum 500 style chromed steel wheels, and Seat
Belts. This 1966 Ford Mustang coupe is a fun driver and ready to
hit the streets, whether it be down to the local show, a weekend
cruiser, or a summertime beach toy. Now is your chance to own a
true classic, and the one that started an entire genre of Americana
- the original Pony Car! Give our Houston showroom a call or send
us an email, and we'll help you add this one to your stable!
