Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is excited to present this clean this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette 25th anniversary edition. 1953 was a major year for Chevrolet, with the introduction of the Corvette. The Corvette was born a very elegant, quick little two-seater, and by the late 50's it was the sports car every American wanted. Chevy raised the bar even further with the introduction of the Sting Ray in 1963, and by 1968 the third generation Corvette was born. The exterior styling of the C3 Corvette was unlike anything else on the road. It was sharp, aggressive, and continued to evolve throughout its 15 year production span. In 1978 the rear end was redesigned to fit the new hatch-back window. '78 also marked 25 years of Corvette, and Chevy celebrated by offering this very special anniversary edition. The 25th Anniversary Corvettes sported this super cool two-tone color-scheme. Silver on top of dark gray, with gray pinstriping. The paint is in pretty nice shape. Embedded into the new silver badges are the words "25th Anniversary", and years "1953" and "1978". It looks awesome on the hood and the rear gas door. The interior is real slick too. Black leather with brown carpeting. Kept in great condition. And of course, there's removable glass t-tops! An iconic feature of the C3, its so much fun cruising tops off, and there's plenty of space to store them in the back. Under the hood we have a 350 V8. This special anniversary Vette is real hot all around!
