Vehicle Description
2014 Ford Mustang GT Coupe
Designed to compete with Chevy and Dodge, Ford debuted its own V8
engine codenamed Coyote. The Coyote engine was designed and built
as a Mustang performance engine producing 412 horsepower at 6,500
rpm in the 2011 Mustang GT. In addition to the new powerful Coyote
engine, the 2011 Mustang standard engine was replaced with a new
3.7L aluminum block V6 which weighed 40 lbs less than the previous
version. This new engine came with dual exhaust and increased MPG
performance to 19 city/31 highway. Ford's engine design was
allowing enthusiasts to not have to sacrifice performance for fuel
economy, and it was the beginning of a great thing. The 2012
Mustang continued to build on excellence by delivering a new
exterior design, updated technology, and new driver tools. "It
takes the greatness of the 5.0-liter and V6 and pushes refinement
to the next level," says D. Pericak, Mustang Chief Engineer.
Attention!!! Powerful car now in front of your eyes with this
fairly rare unique colored '14 Ford Mustang GT coupe. This beauty
pumps out a tire frying 420hp so you better hold tight as it
accelerates like a Space-X rocket launching, and as you go through
the 6-speed it just gets better and better. A wild pony for sure,
tamed only by its comfortable cloth interior, 6 CD and Sync
equipped sound system, 29,838 actual miles and stunningly good
looks. You have been warned, and after reading this description, it
will self-destruct within 10 seconds....wait for it...wait....! OH
read first!
Exterior
For this flexing muscle Ford went all out for the design.
Reminiscent of the early models it just looks beefier, and more
refined on the line aspect. The front of the car is more "aero"
designed, and has an integrated body matching bumper, grille fascias
borrowed from the GT500, large fog lights within the grille and a
race inspired front splitter crafted into the front lower fascia.
Gotta Have It Green, a 2 year only and fairly rare color, covers
the steel panels are very nice with well minded gaps, the front
quarters have an "air vent", and the door keeps the hockey stick
cove Mustang is well known for along with addedfaux brake cooling
scoops on the rear quarters. For some extra wow, Boss 302 style
stripes in black have been added, cascading down the fenders and
racing toward the rear tires. A scooped and heat extractor equipped
hood is on between the fenders and gives the perfect modern muscle
look. Meanwhile, on the short decklid is a racy spoiler while just
below is the signature faux Mustang gas cap. The duo of trio
taillights harkens back to the first model, and are now larger and
flattened, but still reminiscent of past generations. Dual exhaust
peeks out of the lower bumper and black 5-spoke Niche 20-inch
wheels are wrapped by nice rubber all around. These blackened
wheels are a beautiful contrast to the Gotta Have It Green that
bathes this car all over.
Interior
Nice simple door panels utilize molded black plastic and stitched
charcoal black vinyl and a tasteful touch of thin trimming along
with power window toggles, power lock switches and huge speakers
with the driver's door holding the power window control. Inside we
can see the indigo glow from the dash on the beautiful charcoal
black high-backed cloth buckets with even higher headrests. You
will need it as when you smash the accelerator it will snap your
head back and press you firmly into the power driver's seat. In
back are 2 plus 2 bucket/bench and these are also very nice. A
center console runs through the buckets and houses a short handled
shifter. As it rises to the dash center, we note the dials and
buttons for the climate control and heated seats as well as the
Sync equipped AM/FM/CD changer. Above is a black padded vinyl
topped dash and within a dark gray faux carbon fiber dash front are
2 large round deep set gauges, (again reminiscent of days of yore),
with a central huge cluster, all analog save for the digital
odometer readouts. Black carpet is below and a felt fuzzy headliner
is tight and clean above. All is looking factory fresh because with
a mere 23,838 miles it is.
Drivetrain
A Coyote 5.0 Liter V8 with EFI sits between the shock towers and
makes 420hp in stock trim. For some extra kick, an AirRaid cold air
intake has been added Attached to the back of this mill is a MT-82
6-speed manual transmission which puts power rearward to an 8.8"
3.31 TracLoc geared rear.
Undercarriage
All strong and sturdy unibody and rockers with plenty of ground
effects panel coverings to produce a free air flow undercarriage.
Power disc brakes are on the front and rear. The suspension
includes independent coil springs up front, and a 3 link with coil
springs and a panhard bar in the back. The factory dual exhaust
systemsends spent fossils through the factory cats and out the back
via Roush mufflers.
Drive-Ability
Our muscle car crack decoder took this baby out to the track and he
had an absolute ball. I did not think he was going to return, but
alas he did and reported with a grin it performed great and is all
buttoned up on the drive-ability front. All working, and all fast,
frankly I was a touch green with envy watching him take his laps
around the track.
Our consignor, who treated this car like a favorite toy, brought it
out, played with it, then carefully put it away till next time.
Lots of power, lots of good looks, low miles, and a very clean
example. Great sound from the mill, and the stereo, and you won't
lose it in a parking lot thanks to the fairly rare green hue. All
looking great with black accenting, a photo op if there ever was
one.
