Vehicle Description
This is one of just 2,048 Shelby GT500s built in 1967. This GT500
is finished in its original-born color of Nightmist Blue metallic
with a black interior. This GT500 underwent a complete body-off
restoration over a 3-year period, which was completed in May 2022.
It is fitted with its original 428ci Police Interceptor V8 engine
paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, just as it was built by
Shelby American in 1967. A complete history file is included, along
with a photo-documented history file showing the comprehensive
restoration process. A Shelby sales invoice and production order
sheet are included in the history file. The vehicle includes
center-mounted high beams, hood pins, a fender-mounted antenna and
dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valance. The
wood-rimmed steering wheel is fitted with a Shelby horn button and
frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,000 rpm
redline. The original Stewart Warner gauges indicating oil pressure
and amperage are mounted beneath the center of the dashboard.
Included in the sale is the Deluxe Marti Report, which states this
vehicle was built in San Jose, CA, and sold new at JD Ball Ford in
Miami, FL. It is equipped with deluxe 10-spoke aluminum wheels,
shoulder harness, extra Cooling Package, Courtesy Light Group,
sport deck rear seat, power disc brakes, power steering, interior
decor group, heavy-duty battery, tachometer and trip odometer.
