Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to present this
member of the highly sought-after Toyota FJ platform, a 1977 FJ43.
The FJ43 is nearly the same as its slightly smaller FJ40 brother,
but it has a longer wheelbase. Produced until 1984, the FJ43 has
been able to command somewhat of a premium vs. the FJ40, because of
its more limited availability than the FJ40. Under the hood is a
4.2L 2F inline six, which, combined with its 4-speed manual
transmission and dual-range transfer case, gives plenty of gear
ratios to choose from to allow its driver to get in and out of
places that lesser vehicles wouldn't even attempt. This FJ43 is
done in the classic white over yellow color scheme, which is
complemented by its black vinyl interior. A complete set of radial
all terrain tires (including the full-size spare mounted out back)
wrap its bright silver painted steel wheels. Inside, you'll notice
the split bench seat in the front, as well as facing bench seats in
the back, which help set this classic apart from the typical SUV
crowd. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-km/h speedometer
as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage,
and fuel level. Additional features on this FJ43 include Power
Brakes, Power Windows, and Seat Belts. Call or write our Houston
Showroom to get snag yourself a real FJ43!
