Vehicle Description
1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass S (#1142) ROCKET 350ci V8 POWER! With all
the hype surrounding auctions and top-flight investment-grade
classic cars, it's easy to forget that 98% of the hobby is made up
of simply nice classic cars like this dialed-in 1969 Oldsmobile
Cutlass S convertible. Stylish in a beautiful shade of blue with a
top that goes down and an original 350 V8 that sounds great, what
better way to enjoy a sunny day than behind the wheel of this fast,
fun, and very slick ragtop? Treated to a very nice respray in its
original shade of Trophy Blue, it looks extremely clean from every
angle. This one has been well-maintained as it was completed not
long ago and offers straight bodywork that highlights the flared
fenders and chrome strip along the tops of the fenders. It shows
some very minor wear, of course, because it's impossible to resist
a vintage drop-top on a sunny day, and this high driver-quality,
Chrome and trim are very good, including the curvaceous bumpers,
and all the stainless was buffed-out to a great shine that provides
a nice contrast to the slick blue finish. The body and chassis
appear to be all original, from floor pans to quarter panels. The
interior of this Cutlass presents very well for a car of its age.
From the bucket front seats to the carpeting, everything is clean
and well sorted. In keeping with maintaining this vehicle's stock
appearance, a Bluetooth radio has been installed and tucked away in
the glove box. All of its original gauges are intact and
functional, and a small aftermarket gauge set has been installed
and placed out of plain view, on top of the transmission tunnel.
The engine is the original Rocket 350, but has been rebuilt top to
bottom. It has been cleaned, machined, and fitted with Keith Black
flat top pistons, a full Comp Cams roller rocker valvetrain, a Comp
Thumpr cam, Eagle H beam rods, ARP hardware, an Edelbrock intake
and a brand new Holley Street Warrior carb. The rebuild has
certainly netted her some more power, but she is still a very easy
car to drive. To keep things cool, a Flowkooler water pump, 3"
aluminum radiator, and electric fan have been installed. The
ignition system has been modernized with a Proform HEI system and
MSD wires, along with new Delco plugs. The engine is backed by a
refreshed TH350 transmission, with new flexplate, converter, and
mini starter. The exhaust is long tube headers connected to a
custom true dual setup. Stopping and steering are a breeze, this
olds has new shocks, brakes, bushings and BF Goodrich tires all
around. The drivetrain needs no service at this time, with all
fluids, seals, and gaskets being very recent. Please note- If there
are any additional aftermarket parts you desire to add to this car,
