Unfortunately, there was a failure internally around 40,000 miles, and the engine was needing to be rebuilt. Rather than just keeping the factory weaknesses, a Nickies 3.4 to 3.8 kit was ordered, and the engine was rebuilt to a 3.8l flat-six similar to the 911 spec engine. While doing this work, the notorious intermediate main shaft bearing was also replaced with the revised ceramic tri-bearing setup, making this engine almost bulletproof. All of this power is routed through an automatic transaxle into the rear wheels. This Cayman was already a looker, having come from the factory in the stunning Midnight Blue Metallic. The addition of color-matched rims takes the looks to the next level. Further improving the style is the massive GT style wing that shows this Porsche means business!
