Nissan Hardbody King cab. In the late 80s the D21 Nissan Hardbody
was a staple of American roads. These things were everywhere, and
they were awesome! Whether you were looking for economical utility,
or 4x4 adventure, the Nissan D21 truck was a master of all trades.
They were even a favorite of the lowered and customized 'mini
truck' crowd. These trucks have a well-earned following thanks to
their reliability, go anywhere capability and great 80s styling.
This 1987 Hardbody is a classic example of the breed. A one owner,
well optioned truck that was fanatically maintained. The truck is
finished in bright red over grey interior. It rides on factory
Nissan Frontier polished wheels and has awesome chrome and no major
flaws in the paint and interior! The Carfax backs verifies seller
and odometer 79,071-mile reporting. Nissan's venerable VG30 3.0L V6
sends power to the rear through a 3 speed automatic with lockup and
overdrive. Also, a 3.90 geared, open differential provides plenty
of grunt for work or play. The King cab option lets the truck
accommodate two passengers behind the front seats with- never used
- folding jump seats. The truck has cold Ac, AM/FM radio, power
steering, power brakes, power mirrors, cruise control, and tilt
steering, with owner added intermittent wipers. The bed is covered
in protective coating and a rubber mat is fitted to the floor to
protect from the abuse a bed is subjected to. This 87 Hardbody
comes with receipts and documentation as well as NOS parts to keep
it looking and running like new! These trucks are very hard to come
by in any shape, never mind a well-loved, minty example like this
one. Great for a collection, or to serve a new owner as a compact,
