Vehicle Description
This custom 1961 Lincoln Continental, "Mr. Oswald," is a real
Triple-Black suicide-door convertible. Only 2,857 convertibles were
made in 1961 from a total of 25,160 cars produced. This car has
been upgraded from its original form to a modern-day cruiser. The
body is straight and evidence of the care and attention this
Lincoln received. It was sold new with factory A-code Presidential
Black and factory 86 trim black leather interior. This Continental
convertible is powered by a professionally rebuilt 430ci 8-cylinder
engine mated to an automatic transmission with an updated electric
fan. The car is equipped with a disc brake conversion featuring
Slam Specialties airbags, and Choppin' Block tubular air-ride
suspension, with shocks at all four corners, giving this car a
better ride than the factory. The car lays flat on the ground over
custom-built massive 22-inch wheels. The convertible top is fully
functional and was restored by John Cashman back in 2017. The
original owner's manual is included with the vehicle, as well as
the convertible top user guide.
