For Sale: 1995 Dodge Viper in Broadview Heights, Ohio

Vehicle Description

The Dodge Viper was introduced in 1991 and took the automotive world by storm.  At the time of its manufacture, no other company offered a roadster with such horsepower . . . not even the Chevy Corvette.  Even better, it was a true super car for an affordable price.

In order to save weight, the innovative design offered an entirely independent chassis with a fiberglass body and custom-designed tubular space-frame layout.  Lamborghini (then owned by Chrysler Corporation) contributed to the design of the massive 8.0-Litre V10 engine, which produced an intense growl through the signature side-exit exhausts.

Powerful facts:

  • 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds (way faster than the Corvette or Porsche 911 Carrera 2)
  • top speed of over 160 mph
  • 400 hp
  • 465 lb-foot of torque
  • 8.0 Litre V10
  • 6-speed manual transmission
  • seldom matched even today

Even more unique, the Viper is one of the last sports cars to offer an immersive driving experience free of the electronic driver assists and computer technologies commonplace in modern cars.

The first prototype was tested in January 1989 and unveiled at the Detroit auto show that same month. In 1991, two pre-production models debuted dramatically as pace cars for the Indianapolis 500.

The Dodge Viper went on sale in January 1992 as the RT/10 Roadster.

Engineered to be a performance car, the Viper had no exterior-mounted door handles or key cylinders.  Standard features included manually adjustable leather-trimmed sport bucket seats with lumbar support, an AM/FM stereo cassette player with a clock, a high-fidelity sound system and interior carpets.

This car features a soft top and drop-in windows. Another rare option is factory air conditioning, and it works well. New Michelin Pilot Sport tires were added in 2019; under 200 miles have been added since.

This exciting car is still owned by the original owner; it has always been stored in a climate-controlled environment and serviced regularly.

These first-generation cars are becoming increasingly rare. Only 1,577 RT/10 Vipers were produced in 1995: the last of the first generation.

Don’t miss out on your chance to race one down the road.  There are few cars as exciting to drive as this RT/10 Viper.
