Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is pleased to present
this Midnight Blue 1932 Ford Roadster Cabriolet. This is a great
example of how popular the '32 Fords are to hotrodders, both old &
new! This glass bodied/metal hood & rear roll panned Ford Roadster
is powered by a Chevy ZZ350 CID V8 pushing the power through a
TH400 automatic transmission, with a Lokar Hi-Boy shifter, and
finally into a Ford 8" rear differential (with a diff. brake) & a
4-link rear suspension. The suspension and braking on this Roadster
are vital to the overall driving enjoyment, so the builder really
focused a lot on these areas. In addition to the Penske coil overs
and 4-link rear, there is also a lowered Ford front straight axle,
chromed connecting components, Wilwood disc braking on all 4
corners and a quick-ration steering gear box, helping to control
all the ZZ350 power. The interior shows very nicely as well,
complete with a nicely contrasting "Ultra" beige interior on the
fully adjustable seating as well as the door panels, Navy blue
short-cut pile carpets, a Navy colored high-test canvas top, VDO
white-faced gauges, tilt steering, power windows and a cold blowing
Vintage Air A/C system. On the outside, all the brightwork shows
very nicely and the staggered 15"/17" American Racing aluminum
alloy 5-spoke wheels with almost new Goodyear Eagle RS-A's complete
the appearance on it. And if the rumble of a ZZ350 through dual
exhausts is not enough to get the juices pumping, simply open the
exhaust cut-outs & let the accelerator do the talking!
