Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 2009
Am General Humvee. HMMWVs first saw combat in Operation Just Cause,
the U.S. invasion of Panama in 1989. The HMMWV was designed
primarily for personnel and light cargo transport behind front
lines, not as a front-line fighting vehicle. However, the chassis
survivability allowed those crews to return to safety, though the
HMMWV was never designed to offer protection against intense small
arms fire, much less machine-guns and rocket grenades. The HMMWV
was pressed into service in urban combat roles for which it was not
originally intended. This Humvee has had a little bit of a
makeover. The fab kit was bought at a Military Supply in Missouri
for the cab top, doors, and truck back. The owner claims that the
rest of this Humvee is original. Under the hood is the 6.5L Diesel
Motor followed by the automatic transmission. This Humvee has some
added touches that definitely isn't stock. This monster has a
killer sound system JVC Touch Screen with Speakers to rocket. The
options on this AM General Humvee are AM/FM/CD, Back-up Camera, GPS
Navigation, LED hood lamps, Night Vision, Train Horn. This 2009 AM
General Humvee is offered by our Indianapolis Showroom and can be
