Vehicle Description
This custom 1979 Ford Bronco ground-up rebuild by Mobsteel was
featured on the HISTORY Channel's "Detroit Steel" TV show. It is
powered by a Holly Sniper-equipped, fuel-injected 460ci engine
mated to a C6 automatic transmission. The car has roller rockers
with a mild camshaft that sounds great through the full
stainless-steel MagnaFlow exhaust. It features a fully
powder-coated frame with modified suspension, a 7-inch Super-Flex
lift kit featuring SuperFlex rear 10-leaf pack of Deaver leafs and
Deaver front SuperFlex soft-ride linear rate coils and quad shocks,
providing an ultra-smooth and comfortable ride. This Bronco also
features a Dana 44 with Truetrac Spicer Chromoly axel shafts with
MM locking hubs, Strange 9-inch rear end, Detroit Locker with Yukon
35 spline axels, a full disc brake conversion and custom 22-inch
Detroit Steel wheels wrapped in 37-inch Interco SS M16 tires.
Recently, the Mobsteel Bronco was the feature vehicle for Axalta at
the 2022 Eyes on Design awards held at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford
Estate in Detroit, MI. It has also been used in music videos, sat
center stage at TEDx Detroit and was a favorite during the Woodward
Dream Cruise. The exterior is painted Axalta Sunrise Orange
accented with wood-grain graphics. It features full a custom
orange/white plaid interior with a JL Audio custom sound system. A
customized roll bar presents well when the top is removed. This
Bronco has been on the Hot Wheels Legends Tour and featured at the
SEMA Show.
