Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1966
Chevrolet Impala SS. 1966 was a good year for the Impala with over
650,000 units sold. Introduced in 1958 the Impala became one of
General Motors most popular and profitable models. The 1966 Impala
was not only good looking but also had surprising performance
capabilities all wrapped into a full-size car. This 1966 Chevrolet
Impala SS was built to go fast. Under the hood is a 427 V-8 bored
out to a 472 stroker with a 4500 stall. The TH400 automatic
transmission includes a reverse manual valve body. Power to the
rear wheels is transferred through a Dana 4.56 rear end. Additional
features include an aluminum radiator, electric fans, power
steering and MSD ignition. The exterior is painted in dark blue
with a scooped fiberglass hood and a set of meaty alloy wheels. The
black vinyl interior has bucket seating, center console, SS gauges,
AM radio, and rollbar.
