Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is happy to present this
American favorite, a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic model, in white on
charcoal. Jeep "XJ's" as they are known ran from 1984 to 2001, and
are very popular and desirable in original factory form and when
transformed into lifted mud monsters. In stock form, they are very
comfortable, spacious, easy to service vehicles- with parts readily
available to keep them looking new. This body style was missed
considerably when Jeep ended the run, and good ones still bring a
premium. Outside, the angular lines mean no wasted space, and it
creates a super spacious interior with the fold-flat read seat. The
bulging bumper corner guards, body moldings and high ground
clearance give them a tough, unmistakable look. This one shows
particularly nice in white, and the "Classic" trim level gives it a
clean look overall. The large rear hatch makes loading and
unloading easy. Inside, these came nicely equipped from the factory
with power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, gauges, electric
outside mirrors, rear defrost, console, floor shift, and the air
conditioning just adds to the comfort. The interior of this jeep is
still in good condition thanks to the rugged original interior
materials. Under the hood, you'll find Jeeps tough, 4.0 liter
inline 6 cylinder, a very durable cast iron engine providing more
than enough power in town or on the highway. It is not uncommon for
these engines to pass 200,000 miles and still run like new. Fuel
economy is reasonable too, thanks to the 4-speed overdrive
automatic transmission. This one runs and drives well. There is an
odometer discrepancy on the CarFax in 2011-2012; total miles are
unknown. But again, these were well built and there are numerous
high mile examples still on the road. If you are looking for a cool
daily driver or a work vehicle that won't break the bank, this
might be worth considering!
