Vehicle Description
You're looking at automotive royalty taken to the next level. This
2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is already a desirable limited
edition speed machine. But this low-mileage car has also had all
the right investments to upgrade the V8 to 975+ horsepower! And
it's not just the professionally-built powerhouse that will get
your attention, but also there are all the right supporting
components in the drivetrain and suspension. So read on, because
this only gets better...
Red Candy is a terrific paint name for a car like this. After all,
it makes you think of the best custom street machines from back in
the day, and as you dig deeper into this one, you'll see it's a
modern version of those classic blacktop kings. There are even
desirable additions to the factory paint, like a ceramic coating
and protection film in the front to keep this looking candy-coated.
It's not perfect, because you want this to be a driver, too., but
the low mileage, good respect, and solid investments keep it
attractive. And that's the kind of theme you'll see throughout this
coupe. The GT500 is always going to be an aggressive car, but this
one turns it up a notch with the right additions. The black Weld
racing wheels go nicely with the blackout panels on the grille and
rear. The upgrade to the Super Snake-style hood also has some added
darkness with the wide scoop opening. Hood pins, full racing
stripes, slotted quarter windows, an extended rear spoiler, and
quad exhaust tips are all part of an attitude that lets people know
your pony car is really a snake in the grass.
The full black leather setup inside is both luxurious and sporty.
And all this darkness is nicely broken up by white dual racing
stripes to mirror the exterior. An expensive Shelby like this came
directly from the factory loaded with the best features. This means
power windows, power locks, power seats, keyless entry, cruise
control, power steering, and dual-zone automatic climate control
are all present and working perfectly. The stereo is the optional
AM/FM/XM/CD Shaker unit with a touchscreen. It pumps out huge
power, and it's still modern enough to have Bluetooth, satellite
navigation, and interface with your iPod. And speaking of modern
conveniences, you also get the safety of dual front airbags, side
airbags, and ABS. But more than just a coddler, there are some nice
upgrades that remind you of the added investment here. It includes
the A-pillar auxiliary readouts. There's even a handle for a drag
chute - there isn't one currently mounted, which is a reminder that
this hasn't had track time under the current owner but what's under
the hood will have you thinking about becoming a quarter-mile
king.)
Under the hood is a correct-style DOHC 5.8-liter fuel-injected V8
engine, but we're told the factory motor has been replaced by a
full professional setup built by Geddes Racing Engines. It has been
enhanced and fortified with components like Diamond pistons, Molnar
Power Adder rods, Darton dry sleeves, a CobraJet crank, a Modular
Head Shop rotating assembly, ARP studs, JDM Super Stock camshafts,
Gearhead Stage 3 ported heads, and a Whipple Monoblade throttle
body. And sitting on top of it all is a VMP Performance Gen 3
supercharger with 2.7 pulley. Plus, just to make sure this one can
inhale as deeply as possible, there's both a JLT cold air intake
and a Snow methanol kit. It is a total package that produces 976
horsepower. And while we have the dyno sheet to prove it, all you
have to do is open up the electric cutouts on the three-inch dual
exhaust to let everyone know this Shelby power just by its thunder.
You are in full control of this monster motor because the already
stout six-speed manual transmission was upgraded further with
bronze shift fork pads, hybrid syncros, and was cryo-treated by
Liberty Gears. This feeds a Moser 8.8 Wavetrac limited-slip rear
and 31 spline axles. Extra-meaty Mickey Thompson tires are the
final step to get the power to the pavement. The suspension
upgrades include a BMR tubular K -member, BMR drag springs, a
Steeda competition rear sway bar, and four-wheel power disc
brakes.
There's plenty more to go over with the added components and build
receipts. We don't have the room to list it all here, but we'll be
happy to go over it all on call. This is a custom build that knows
to out-power its GT500 siblings and other specialty Shelby
machines. Are you ready to charm this custom powerful snake? Call
