For Sale: 1959 Austin-Healey 100-6 in Monterey, California

Vehicle Description

1959 Austin Healey 100-6 BN4 PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO HERE ( https://youtu.be/l8xjtnTZtwE ) -History and Overview - For sale is a lovely 1959 Austin Healey 100-6 BN4 that finished in Austin Healey Blue over Old English white with Blue leather interior. This vehicle came out of Rancho Cordova, CA. It has been a one owner car for the last 51 years. The previous owner purchased the vehicle in April of 1972 then gave it a frame off restoration that was completed in 1998 with photo documentation. From 1972 to present day it has never sat a day outside according to notes written by the previous owner. He became ill and passed away about two years ago, and his family donated the car to charity. It went to a local charity auction and that is how we accrued it. By this time the car had not been fired up for the last 10 or so years. So it required a lot of maintenance. We spent another $10K in the last year getting it back on the road as I will explain shortly. This vehicle came factory with 48 Spoke wire wheels, overdrive, adjustable steering column, heater, laminated windscreens and road speed Tyres. It also comes with its British Motors Heritage trust, original tool kit, jacks, books, owners manuals, all recent service records as well as some previous records, new soft top and Tonneau cover. Clean CA title. Watch the video for details. Current condition - This Austin Healey is in excellent condition. I would give the paint 8 out of 10 as it has its minor imperfections here and there. Watch the video to see every inch of the car yourself. The interior looks new, no known flaws or signs of wear. Very nice straight body, watch the video and see. Mechanically it runs and drives great. It has the inline six engine paired with a 4-Speed manual transmission with overdrive. Both the engine and transmission were rebuilt in 1998, and I don't believe they put very many miles on it since. When it was rebuilt they put hardened valve seats. There has been quite a bit of recent work done to the car to get it back on the road after it sat for many years. New distributor, clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, and brake master cylinder. The whole front suspension was done, the carburetor was taken to a specialist and got fully rebuilt as well as much more miscellaneous things. All the receipts are available in the video. All parts from Moss motors. The motor is very healthy, sounds great and has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. There is always more TLC that could be done, it has a small oil leak like most british cars. Brakes and brake lines I believe are all done. Like new michelin tires. Clutch and brakes feel good. Suspension feels tight. DO NOT TAKE MY WORK FOR ANYTHING, WATCH THE VIDEO IN FULL, GO THROUGH THE 400 PLUS PHOTOS AND FEEL FREE TO COME CHECK IT OUT TO VERIFY EVERYTHING.
