Vehicle Description
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is a custom build with attention to
detail throughout and only 5,300 miles since completion. This Bel
Air is powered by a 6.0-liter LS2 roller-rocker engine with a
bumped cam and worked heads. The engine is equipped with a
serpentine belt and pulley system and is electronically
fuel-injected. Other highlights include a Griffin aluminum HD
radiator with dual electric fans, pressurized gas tank and fuel
delivery system with return, heat-wrapped ceramic-coated headers
with 2.5-inch exhaust pipes and MagnaFlow polished stainless-steel
mufflers with electric cutouts. The engine is mated to a 4L80E
4-speed overdrive automatic transmission turning a HD 9-inch Ford
posi-traction rear end fitted with 3.89 Strange gears and HD axles.
This vehicle is equipped with electric power rack & pinion
steering, tubular A-arms with coilovers and 2-inch drop spindles.
The rear end is held in place with a triangulated 4-link setup with
adjustable coilovers. There are also front and rear sway bars. It
sits on a restored powder-coated stock frame with CPP front
suspension and rear Art Morrison HD suspension. Stopping power is
provided by electric power-assisted Wilwood 4-piston calipers
clamping on large diameter drilled and slotted rotors all the way
around. The vehicle is finished in two-tone turquoise and white
paint. Hundreds of hours were put into the frame-off restoration.
The interior offers a stock look with upgrades that include custom
front and rear seats with extended seat rails, a Classic
Instruments gauge package, vintage Stewart Warner tachometer,
Ididit tilt column topped with a wrapped steering wheel, power
windows, a Vintage Air system and a stereo with 6-disc CD player,
4-speaker sound system, with USB, iPod, Bluetooth and quartz
digital clock. This Chevrolet rides on American Racing chrome
wheels with custom spinners mounted with Cooper High Performance
tires, sized 225/50R17 up front and 255/45R18 at the rear. Other
upgrades include flat halo-ring headlights, signal blink original
style aftermarket mirrors, restored brightwork and tinted glass.
