Vehicle Description
This show-winning 1961 Chevrolet Impala Resto-Mod bubble top is
powered by a 409ci engine and is accompanied by a dual-quad intake
with Edelbrock 500 cfm 4-barrel carburetors and a Billet
Specialties Tru Trac serpentine drive system, air conditioning and
alternator. Paired with the engine is a Muncie 4-speed manual
transmission and a GM 8.2-inch rear end. Along with air
conditioning, this Impala features power steering, disc brakes, an
MSD ignition, a dual exhaust, an electric fuel pump and a Champion
billet 4-core radiator with cooling fans. The suspension was
upgraded with Global West lowered tubular A-arms and front and rear
sway bars. Extra special touches include 18-inch Schott Cover-Loc
wheels wrapped in Goodyear tires, an Autosound Secretaudio system
with Bluetooth and a subwoofer, along with Dakota Digital VHX
gauges. The engine sits between high-gloss black inner fender
wells, a firewall and a hood, which reflects the highly polished
engine. Chrome, polished or billet sums up everything under the
hood. The trunk area is finished with upholstered panels that
provide access to the audio system and create a clean and
professional look. The glass throughout gives a clear view of the
interior. This Impala won First Place, Best GM and Best of Show at
the 7th Annual Wheels of Courage Council Bluffs in 2022 and Best in
Show at Olathe Police Foundation 9th Annual Auto Show in 2018.
