Vehicle Description
This 1966 Sunbeam Tiger convertible underwent a complete mechanical
and cosmetic restoration. It is powered by a 5.0-liter high-output
V8 engine and is fitted with an Edelbrock carburetor, a roller
camshaft, Sunbeam Specialties headers, a PerTronix Flamethrower
distributor and coil, and an aluminum water pump. Power is sent to
the rear wheels through a TREMEC T5 5-speed manual transmission and
a Dana 44 differential. A Ford Performance clutch kit and flywheel
as well as a fabricated driveshaft were fitted. Finished in red and
features a black soft-top and boot cover, chrome bumpers and
brightwork, a driver's-side mirror and dual polished exhaust
outlets. The rear body panels, the inner and outer rocker panels,
the front valance and floor panels were replaced and/or repaired
during the refurbishment. The interior has been reupholstered using
a Martha Wheat kit and features bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl
with matching door panels and carpets. Work performed during the
refurbishment included replacing the upper and lower dash pads,
rebuilding the seat frames, installing sound and heat insulation,
and fitting a new wood veneer dashboard fascia. As well as a
wood-grain steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting
of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for voltage, oil
pressure, coolant temperature and fuel level. The voltage gauge was
replaced, the oil and fuel gauges were refurbished, and the
tachometer and speedometer were rebuilt during the refurbishment.
An oversized front sway bar and heavy-duty springs have been
installed, along with replacement upper and lower control arm
bushings and a Tom Hall frame-strengthening kit. The car rolls on
Rota 15-inch wheels finished in black with polished lips and are
mounted with Yokohama S-drive tires. This Tiger is now offered with
a Certificate of Authenticity from the Sunbeam Tiger Owner's
Association (STOA), service records and a Build Sheet. **TITLED AS
