Vehicle Description
Finished in a custom red paint, this 1948 Ford Deluxe custom
convertible underwent a comprehensive restoration and was sitting
in a personal collection for the past fourteen years. This Ford is
powered by a 351ci Windsor engine with ported heads, dual valve
springs and roller rockers, paired with a C4 automatic transmission
with shift kit. A Heidts front end with tubular strut rods using
Mustang II components and a Griffin radiator were installed. The
oil cooler was installed in front of the Ford 9-inch rear end. The
vehicle is also equipped with cruise control, heat and air
conditioning, power steering, power brakes and power wipers, all
accompanied by a custom sound system. A new convertible top was
installed, along with a new electric motor, and everything rolls on
full whitewall radial tires.
