tantalizing black-over-scarlet paint job, with its light gray
metallic/dark gray metallic pinstripes separating the major colors,
this is a winning look. This classic '39 Ford has many modern
touches, designed to make it a capable of being a daily driver.
Under the hood is a Ford 5.0L HO V8, which has an Edelbrock AVS2
carb with an Edelbrock Performer Z89 polished aluminum intake,
shorty headers feeding into a dual exhaust, MSD-boosted ignition,
and newly added Vintage Air system. The 302 has a mild cam, so it's
not too finicky to drive regularly, and behind the 5.0L is a
4-speed Ford AOD automatic transmission, which is controlled by the
Lokar shifter. You'll appreciate the overdrive when you're cruising
to that vintage car show 200 miles away! You will also be pleased
with the ride, as this '39 Sedan Delivery sits on an independent
front suspension, with its tubular upper and lower control arms and
special rate springs. Out back, the Ford 9" rear end is enhanced
with a multi-link rear suspension and adjustable coil-over shocks,
which you can adjust for ride comfort, or harder launches. The
Colorado Customs aluminum mags are wrapped with new wide whitewall
radials (size P165/80R15 up front, P215/70R15 out back), further
adding to the vintage look, and improving its handling. Inside,
you'll find plenty of desirable features. The gray synthetic
leather headliner and interior body covering is in very good
condition and looks great. The front bucket seats sport perforated
leather and leather seating surfaces and are also power adjustable.
The dash features vintage style Ford-logoed gauges for oil
pressure, coolant temperature, voltmeter, fuel gauge, speedo, and
tach. The new Vintage Air system controls and multi-function head
unit in the center of the dash are very well integrated. The head
unit controls the CD changer that is hidden behind a panel in the
wall behind the passenger seat, so you have AM/FM/CD music
available, with very little clutter to spoil the look of the dash.
Drivers will appreciate the tilt steering column, which is topped
by a Colorado Customs billet aluminum steering wheel with its
perforated leather rim, and both occupants will appreciate the fact
that they don't have to install seat belts. Additional features and
