Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1950
Mercury Eight Coupe. The Mercury Eight was manufactured from
1939-1951 with a total of three generations. Produced in many
variations including coupes, sedans, and a station wagon. This
successful third generation was built from 1949-1951 sharing its
body with the Lincoln. Becoming an instant hit breaking record
sales in a post war market. The 1949-50 Mercury coupe has been
extremely popular in the classic car market with fancy paint
schemes and "chopped" roofs. This 1950 Mercury Eight coupe picks up
that "Grease" vibe with its striking yellow paint highlighted with
red pearl flames and integrated side pipes. The elimination of the
front and rear chrome bumpers adds to this retromods masculine
looks. The interior is upholstered in white vinyl with Dakota
gauges, tilt steering wheel, seatbelts, power windows, AM/FM/cd
radio, and air conditioning. Under the hood of this beauty is a
General Motors small block 350cid V-8 attached to a three-speed
automatic transmission. Power steering and power brakes are a great
addition to the overall drivability of this 1950 Mercury Eight
Coupe.
