Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is excited to present this
gorgeous 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster, in silver green on dark
green. What a time it was back in '66, with great TV shows like The
Monkees, The Munsters and I Dream of Jeannie- while The Beach Boys,
the Doors and other greats left us with just right, even visionary
songs we cherish. Corvettes were generally bought by affluent
buyers, due to higher prices. They were the envy of many, and some
of them made it to the drags strips, cleaning up the competition.
Cars like this help us relive those fond memories, and while they
cost more than they did back then, can prove to be solid
investments. What a neat car, with the stroked 498 cubic inch V8
big block Chevrolet under the hood, bolted to a Muncie 4-speed and
original style rear end. Outwardly, the light silver-green color is
a nice departure from others... vintage looking for sure,
catapulting you back to 1966. The white soft top is there, but
needs replacement. This one has side pipes and they sound amazing,
making this big block roadster stand up and roar when you get into
it. Overall condition is very good. The inside is in nice shape,
needing very little to be outstanding. The teak steering wheel
option looks terrific, and a powerful sound system has been added
(you know, to make sure you can still hear your favorite song over
all those horses screaming under the hood). The dashes on these
cars are aircraft like, with all the gauges and controls you need
to keep an eye on things. Big block Corvettes are desirable-
factory installed or not. This one was set up well and is a heck of
a lot of fun to drive!
