Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is pleased to present this
pavement-wrinkling canary yellow 1923 Ford T-Bucket. Nothing says
raw power like a T-bucket: just stuff a V8 between the frame rails
on one of these lightweight machines, and you can't help but have
fun with these hot rods. Top the V8 with a healthy root-style
blower and dual quad carburetors, and you may want to consider
adding some wheelie bars! This little rocket is indeed set up
exactly that way: it's powered by a blown, dual-quad-equipped 283
CID small block V8 and backed by a trusty 2-speed automatic
PowerGlide transmission. A set of Sanderson hot rod headers handle
the exhaust, giving it both the classic T-bucket look, and that
raucous sound that you'd expect. This nasty little bucket is riding
on classic Cragar 5-spoke mags, which are wrapped with Mickey
Thompson M/T Sportsman tires: 26x7.50-15LT up front, and massive
28x18.50-15LT meats out back. One thing you'll appreciate about
this T-bucket is the functional door on the passenger side: you
won't need to jump over the side to get into this wicked little
ride - just open the door and slide on in. Once you're inside,
you'll appreciate the seat-belt-equipped all-weather brown vinyl
seating and the full instrumentation package, which shows you
coolant temp, volts, fuel level, and oil pressure, along with the
big tach and speedo. A Lokar shifter controls the PowerGlide, and
beside that is the functional parking brake handle. Tunes are
supplied by an AM/FM/XM-ready head unit and speakers in the
enclosure beneath the seat. The black vinyl top is removable, so
you can cruise "fully open" on those perfect weather days that will
come along and beckon you out for a ride. Call or email our Houston
Showroom to get started on making it yours!
